As a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance, Little Notley’s recognises that parents are the first and most important educators of their children.
All our staff see themselves as co-workers with you in providing care and education for your child. We value exchanging knowledge about your child’s needs, activities, interests and progress with you.
Open communication is essential when the care of your child is shared. We use various communication methods to ensure information is shared and you can communicate with us. Every child is issued with a Communication Book for parents to use, newsletters are sent out on a half-termly basis, written reports are sent home at the end of every term and, at least once a year, parents are invited into the setting to view their child’s Learning Journey and discuss their progress.
As we operate an Open Door policy at Little Notley’s, parents are welcome any time during the academic year to view their child’s Learning Journey. Staff will also endeavour to make themselves available to speak to you at the beginning and end of each session should you wish to discuss something specific.
Every year we host a Nativity Service in December, a Family Fun Day and Graduation Ceremony in July, a Mother’s Day and Father’s Day celebration – events which help bring parents together as a community. We annually ask our parents for feedback to ascertain what we do well and what we need to do to improve our service.
"Thank you everyone at Little Notley’s so much for taking such good care of Harry and Max. There has not been one day when they haven’t run happily to pre-school, excited to see you and their friends. They now start school with the confidence and expectations that they will be safe and happy because of the experiences they have had with you."

"Thank you so very much for all you have done for Dylan. He’s loved every second of his time with you and we’re so pleased with how he has grown over the past year with your support. He is so ready for his big school adventure and we know we have a lot to thank you all for in getting him so ready. We cannot thank you enough."
Lucy & Richard Roberts
"A massive thank you for everything you have done over the past 2 years for Rachel and Charlie. You have made a very special place at Little Notley’s – both children and parents love it! Never once have Rachel and Charlie not wanted to come and they often ask if they can go in at weekends! We appreciate the enormous amount of work involved and it shows in what you have achieved."
Elle & Andy Owen
"Words cannot express my gratitude to you all for everything that you have done for both Daniel and Eloise over the past four years. Both of my children have had the best start in education and have both loved their time with you."
